You've Been Boo(zed) Bottle Tags

Who says Halloween is just for kids these days? Halloween has changed vastly over the last century. From being a night about kids and pranks - to an almost 9 billion dollar industry, Halloween is for just about everyone it seems.

My particular generation (geriatric millennials as the media likes to call us) really grew up with the dawn of what Halloween is today. Class parties, costume parades, family friendly decorations, it all sort of began in a retail sort of way in the 80s.

So, since we are burdened with the name geriatric millennials, I think we deserve a treat this Halloween.

So don’t forget to Boo(ze) up your adult friends this year!

I made it easy for you by offering these free printable tags that you can attach to your favorite bottle of wine, hard cider, or an even stronger potion.

You Color My World Valentine (Plus a Freebie!)

I really can’t believe that Valentine’s Day is already around the corner. The years are just flying by here. With kids, these little holidays aren’t so little anymore. Drew and I were never big Valentine’s Day people however, now that Evelyn learns about the holiday and does crafts and stuff for it at school, she really enjoys celebrating it.

This year I got ahead of the game, and designed some Valentine’s Day cards that Evelyn could sign and take to school pretty early. She got one of these mini palettes at a birthday party and she loved it. Kept her busy for hours. I try my best to stay away from candy for these classroom giveaways, having been a teacher once before. When I found out that I could grab a 24 pack of these palettes for $15 on amazon, I knew this was the route we were going to take.

I designed this printable, two valentines to a page, and I just used photo paper to print on. I try to keep the ink usage to a minimum. I’m super excited with how they turned out! What do you think?

This is Evelyn’s second year in school and so she knows exactly how this is all going to go down. She’s super pumped about it and won’t stop asking when she will get to pass them to her friends.

Like last year, I’ve decided to share this printable if anyone else wants to use it. Don’t forget to snag these awesome watercolor palettes to tape to them to. I just used double sided sticky tape to attach the paint and cute washi tape for the paint brush. Just sign up below (full disclosure, you’ll also be added to my newsletter list but who doesn’t want to get updates on new products and sales?!) and I’ll email you this downloadable printable for your own use! I recommend on printing on thick cardstock or thick photo paper, there are two per page. Let me know what you think!

A Bright and Sunny Valentine's Day (Plus a Freebie!)

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. We aren’t generally big “Valentine’s Day” people, but this is the first time Evelyn will get to pass out Valentines to her friends. Obviously things are a bit different due to the pandemic, we had to drop her valentines off two weeks early so they could sit in the class before she can pass them out. I am not complaining, we are just so grateful she even has this opportunity.

However, that two week early period really crept up on me! I’m not a “store bought” kind of gal, so I had to think quick to pull something together.

Evelyn had received sunglasses from a friend last year for Valentine’s Day and so it was her wish to give out sunglasses this year to her friends. I ordered these off Oriental Trading Co. and then designed a post card that we could print at home. I also found these cute sunglasses from Amazon that ship out quickly and they are about $1 each. You can’t go wrong! Then we attached the sunglasses with some washi tape and Evelyn “wrote” her friend’s name and her name on the bottom.

This is Evelyn’s first year in school so this is the first time she’ll do an exchange like this. She was so excited to take these to class, but wasn’t really understanding that she would have to wait to pass them out for two weeks. She’s just anxious to share with her friends.

This week in her class, they are learning about kindness and friendship. So it just seems fitting that I make this printable available to any one who wants it!
